On March 25, 2012 at 8:25 in the morning I was going through an intersection when a pickup truck ran a red light. The truck hit me and pushed me through the intersection onto the curb. The force of the accident had ripped my thumb bone off from the rest of my hand and also tore the artery. I was bleeding all over. Due to the impact I had to be cut out of my car and taken by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center. At first, they had to stitch my thumb back to my hand. Later , I had to undergo surgery to place two screws in to my thumb to connect it back to my hand.
At first, I hesitated to call an attorney. I hired Preston Handy as my lawyer. Preston always kept me up to date on everything and was really good about asking if he could do anything or if I needed anything. He would answer all of my many questions in a timely manner. He asked that I call after all of my appointments to keep him up to date on my progress. Midway through my case I had the option to stay with Siegfried and Jensen or follow Preston to his new practice Handy and Handy. It was seriously a no-brainer that I was going to follow Preston because he was a very good lawyer and was really serious about helping me get compensation for my case. If I were ever in another car accident or had another injury I would contact Preston Handy at Handy and Handy law firm to handle my case.
